テサロニケ人への手紙第１ １章

テサ１章

１　パウロとシルワヌス、そしてテモテから、父なる神と主イエス・キリストとにあってテサロニケ人の人々の教会の皆さまへ。恵みがあなたがたにありますように。また、平和が父なる神と、主イエス・キリストからあなたがたにありますように。

２　わたしたちはいつもあなたがたのことを天の神様に感謝しています。私たちは祈の時にあなたがたのことを取り上げ、

３　あなたがたの信仰の働きと、愛の労苦と、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストにある望みの忍耐とを、わたしたちの父なる神のみまえに絶えず思い起しています。

４　愛される兄弟たちよ。わたしたちはあなたがたが神に選ばれていることを知っているのです。

５　なぜなら、わたしたちの福音があなたがたに伝えられたとき、それは言葉だけによったのではなく、力と聖霊と強い確信とによったからです。わたしたちがあなたがたの間で、あなたがたのためにどのような者であったのかは、あなたがたの知っているとおりです。

６　そしてあなたがたは、わたしたちと主とにならう者となり、多くの悩みの中で、聖霊による喜びをもって御言を受けいれ、

７　こうして、あなたがたは、マケドニヤとアカヤとにいる全ての信者に対して模範となったのです。

８　なぜなら、あなたがたの所から主の言葉は響き渡り、マケドニヤとアカヤばかりではなく、あらゆるところであなたがたの神に対する信仰が広がって行ったので、これについては何も言う必要はないくらいです。

９　なぜなら、彼ら自身が、わたしたちが[1]どんな様子であなたがたの所にはいって行ったか、また、あなたがたが、[2]どのように偶像から神に立ち帰り、生けるまことの神に仕えるようになったか、

１０　そして、来るべき激しい怒りから私たちを救ってくださった彼の御子イエス（この方を、神は死人の中からよみがえらせたのです）が天から降ってこられるのをお待ちするようになったかを証ししているからです。

 

1Th 1:1  Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians, in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace to you, and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1Th 1:2  We give thanks to God for you always, making mention of you in our prayers,

1Th 1:3  remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father,

1Th 1:4  knowing, beloved brothers, your election of God.

1Th 1:5  For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

1Th 1:6  And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, welcoming the Word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

1Th 1:7  so that you were examples to all who believe in Macedonia and Achaia.

1Th 1:8  For from you the Word of the Lord sounded out, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we do not need to speak anything.

1Th 1:9  For they themselves witness what kind of entrance we had to you, even how you turned from idols to God in order to serve the living and true God,

1Th 1:10  and to wait for His Son from Heaven (whom He raised from the dead), Jesus, who delivered us from the wrath to come.

テサ１　３

１　そういうわけで、私たちはこれ以上は我慢することができずに、私たちだけがアテネに残る事が[1]良いと考えられました。

２　そして私たちは、私たちの兄弟であり、また神の奉仕であり、キリストの福音においては私たちの[2]同労者であるテモテを、あなたがたの信仰を確立させ、あなたがたを勇気づけるために派遣したのです。

３　それは、これらの[3]迫害のために、誰も動揺することのないようにするためです。なぜなら、あなたがた自身が知っているとおり、わたしたちはその様な事に[4]会うように定められているからです。

６　ところが今テモテが、あなたがたの所からわたしたちのもとに帰ってきて、あなたがたの信仰と愛とについての良き知らせをもたらしてくれました。しかも、あなたがたがいつもわたしたちのことを覚え下さり、わたしたちと同じように私たちに会う事を強く願望しているということです。

７　だから私の兄弟たちよ。私たちは私たちのすべての悩みや苦難の中にあっても、あなたがたの信仰によって慰められたのです。

８　なぜなら、あなたがたが主にあって堅く立っているなら、わたしたちはいま生きているからです。

９　ほんとうに、あなたがたについて神の御前で喜んでいる大きな喜びのために、どんな感謝を神にささげることができるのでしょうか。

１０　わたしたちは、あなたがたの顔を見、あなたがたの信仰の足りない事を[6]強化したいと、夜も昼も、ことのほか[7]祈っているのです。

１１　どうか、わたしたちの父なる神ご自身と、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストとが、私たちの道をあなたがたに[8]導いて下さいますように。

１２　そして、どうか主がわたしたちもまたあなたがたを（愛しているように）、あなたがたの互いの、またすべての人への愛を増し加え、溢れさせて下さいますように。

１３　また、わたしたちの主イエスが、そのすべての聖者と一緒においでになる時、あなたがたの心が神の御前に聖なることにおいて非難される所のない者として下さいますように。

1Th 3:1  Therefore when we could no longer endure, we were pleased to be left at Athens alone.

1Th 3:2  And we sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God, and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ, to establish you and to comfort you concerning your faith,

1Th 3:3  so that no one should be drawn aside by these afflictions. For you yourselves know that we are appointed to them.

1Th 3:4  For truly, when we were with you, we told you before that we were going to suffer affliction, as it also happened, even you know.

1Th 3:5  For this cause, when I could no longer endure, I also sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter may have tempted you and our labor may have been in vain.

1Th 3:6  But now when Timothy came from you to us and brought us good news of your faith and love, and that you have good remembrance of us always, desiring to see us (as we also you),

1Th 3:7  then, my brothers, we were comforted over you, through your faith, even in all our affliction and needs;

1Th 3:8  for now we live, if you stand fast in the Lord.

1Th 3:9  For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God,

1Th 3:10  night and day praying exceedingly for me to see your face and to perfect the things lacking in your faith?

1Th 3:11  And may God Himself and our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ direct our way to you.

1Th 3:12  And may the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another and toward all, even as we also toward you,

1Th 3:13  in order to establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

テサ１　５

１　しかし、兄弟たちよ。その[1]時期と[2]正確な時については、私があなたがたに書きおくる必要はありません。

２　なぜなら、あなたがた自身が[3]完全に知っているとおり、主の日は盗人が夜くるように来るからです。

３　というのは、彼らが平和で[4]安全だ！と言っている時、突然の滅亡が彼らの上に来るのです。それはちょうど、妊婦に産みの苦しみが臨むようです。そして、彼らはそれからのがれることはできません。

４　しかし、あなたがた兄弟たちよ。あなたがたは暗やみの中にいないのですから、その日が盗人のようにあなたがたを[5]突然襲うことはありません。

５　あなたがたは全員が光の子供たちであり、昼の子供たちなのです。わたしたちは夜の者でもやみの者でもありません。

９　なぜなら神は、わたしたちを激しい怒りにあわせるように定められたのではなく、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストによって救を得るように定められたからです。

１０　その方はわたしたちのために死なれました。それは、さめていても眠っていてもわたしたちが彼と共に生きるためなのです。

１１　ですから、あなたがたは今もしているように、[9]互いに力づけ合い、互いに[10]建て上げ合いなさい。

１２　兄弟たちよ。わたしたちは請い願います。どうか、あなたがたの間で労している人、また主にあってあなたがたを[11]統括している人、そしてあなたがたを訓戒している人々を知り、

１３　そして、彼らの働きのゆえに、愛を持って特に尊ぶようにしてください。あなた方の間で互に平和に過ごしていなさい。

１４　また兄弟たちよ。私たちはあなたがたに[12]勧告します。[13]反抗的な者を戒め、[14]気の弱い者を[15]慰め、弱い者を助け、すべての人に対して[16]寛容でありなさい。

１５　そして、誰に対しても悪をもって悪に報いないように気をつけ、お互に、また全ての人に対して、いつも善を追い求めていなさい。

１６　いつも喜んでいなさい。

１７　[17]絶え間なく祈っていなさい。

１８　すべての事について、感謝していなさい。なぜなら、この事がキリスト・イエスにあって神があなたがたに求めておられることだからです。

１９　御霊を[18]消していてはいけません。

２０　[19]預言を軽んじていてはいけません。

２１　すべてのものを[20]検証して、[21]良きものを守り、

２２　あらゆる[22]形の悪から遠ざかっていなさい。

２３　そして、平和の神ご自身があなたがたを完全にきよめて下さり、あなたがたの霊と魂とからだの[23]全てを守って、わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの来臨のときに責められるところのない者にして下さいますように。

２４　あなたがたを召されたかたは真実ですから、このことをして下さるのです。

２５　また兄弟たちよ。わたしたちのためにも、祈っていて下さい。

２６　きよい接吻をもって、すべての兄弟たちに挨拶をしなさい。

２７　わたしは主によって[24]あなたがたに強く勧めます。この手紙をすべての兄弟たちに読み聞かせなさい。

２８　わたしたちの主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがたと共にありますように。

 

1Th 5:1  But of the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that I write to you.

1Th 5:2  For you yourselves know accurately that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.

1Th 5:3  For when they shall say, Peace and safety! Then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail upon a woman with child. And they shall not escape.

1Th 5:4  But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the Day should overtake you like a thief.

1Th 5:5  You are all the sons of light and the sons of the day. We are not of the night, or of darkness.

1Th 5:6  Therefore let us not sleep as the rest do, but let us watch and be calm.

1Th 5:7  For those sleeping sleep in the night, and those being drunken are drunken in the night.

1Th 5:8  But let us, who are of the day, be calm, having put on the breastplate of faith and love and the hope of salvation for a helmet.

1Th 5:9  For God has not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

1Th 5:10  who died for us, so that whether we watch or sleep we should live together with Him.

1Th 5:11  Therefore comfort one another, and edify one another, even as you also do.

1Th 5:12  And, brothers, we beseech you to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and who admonish you,

1Th 5:13  and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at peace among yourselves.

1Th 5:14  Now we exhort you, brothers, warn those who are unruly, comfort the faint-hearted, support the weak, be patient toward all.

1Th 5:15  See that none gives evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue the good, both towards one another and towards all.

1Th 5:16  Rejoice evermore.

1Th 5:17  Pray without ceasing.

1Th 5:18  In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1Th 5:19  Do not quench the Spirit.

1Th 5:20  Do not despise prophesying.

1Th 5:21  Prove all things, hold fast to the good.

1Th 5:22  Abstain from every appearance of evil.

1Th 5:23  And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blamelessly at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Th 5:24  Faithful is He who called you, who also will do it.

1Th 5:25  Brothers, pray for us.

1Th 5:26  Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.

1Th 5:27  I charge you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.

1Th 5:28  May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

テサ１　４

１　[1]さて、兄弟たちよ、その他のことについて私たちが主イエスにあってあなたがたに熱望し、また強く勧めます。あなたがたはわたしたちからどのように歩き、そして神を喜ばせるべきかを受けたのですから、ますますそうして下さい。

２　なぜなら、わたしたちが主イエスによってどのような戒めをあなたがたに与えたか、あなたがたはよく知っているからです。

３　というのは、神の御心はあなたがたが清くあることだからです。すなわち、[2]性的な不道徳を慎み、

４　あなたがたが各自、自分の器を清く尊く保つことを知り、

５　（神を知らない諸国民のように肉欲的な[3]熱望の中にいないことです）

６　また、このようなことで兄弟を[4]乗り越えたり、[5]だましたりしてはなりません。私たちが以前からあなたがたにきびしく警告し、[6]証ししておいたように、主はこれらすべてのことについて[7]報復をなさるからです。

７　なぜなら、神がわたしたちを召されたのは、汚れた者になるためではなく、[8]聖なる者となるためだからです。

８　こういうわけですから、これらの警告を[9]軽んじている者は、人を軽んじているのではなく彼の聖霊を[10]私たちに賜わっておられる神を軽んじているのです。

９　[11]兄弟愛については、今さら私が書きおくる必要はありません。なぜなら、あなたがたはあなた方自身が互に[12]愛し合うようにと、神から直接教えられているからです。

１０　また、事実マケドニヤ全土にいるすべての兄弟に対して、それを実行しているのですから。しかし、兄弟たちよ。私たちはあなたがたに[13]強く願います。ますますそうして下さい。

１１　そして、あなたがたに命じておいたように、つとめて[14]穏やかであることと[15]自分自身の事を[16]熱心に務め、自分自身の両手で働きなさい。

１２　それは、あなたがたは外部の人々に対して[17]品位を保ち、またあなたがたが[18]何においても不足がないためなのです。

１３　しかし、兄弟たちよ。私は[19]眠っている人々については、あなたがたに無知でいてもらいたくありません。それは、あなたがたが何の望みも持っていない他の人々のように悲しむことのないためです。

１４　なぜなら、もしイエスが死んで復活されたことをわたしたちが信じているのであれば、同様に神はイエスにあって眠っている人々をも、彼と一緒に導き出して下さるからです。

１５　というのは、わたしたちは主の言葉によってこの事を言っているのですが、主の来臨の時まで生きながらえて残っているわたしたちが、これらの眠った人々より先に行くことはないからです。

１６　なぜなら、主ご自身が叫び声と、大天使の声と、神のラッパとともに天から下ってこられます。その時キリストにあって死んだ人々がまず最初によみがえり、

１７　それから生きて残っているわたしたちが、彼らと一緒に諸々の雲の中で[20]すばやく取り上げられ、空中で主にお会いします。私たちは、こうして[21]いつまでも主と共にいるようになるのです。

１８　ですから、あなたがたはこれらの言葉をもって互に慰め合いなさい。

 

1Th 4:1  For the rest, then, my brothers, we beseech you and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as you have received from us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more.

1Th 4:2  For we know what commands we gave you by the Lord Jesus.

1Th 4:3  For this is the will of God, your sanctification, for you to abstain from fornication,

1Th 4:4  each one of you to know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor

1Th 4:5  (not in the passion of lust, even as the nations who do not know God),

1Th 4:6  not to go beyond and defraud his brother in this matter (because the Lord is the avenger concerning all these, as we also have forewarned you and testified).

1Th 4:7  For God has not called us to uncleanness, but in sanctification.

1Th 4:8  Therefore he who despises does not despise man, but God, who also has given us His Holy Spirit.

1Th 4:9  But regarding brotherly love, you do not need that I write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

1Th 4:10  And indeed you do it toward all the brothers who are in all Macedonia. But we beseech you, brothers, that you abound more and more,

1Th 4:11  and that you try earnestly to be quiet and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,

1Th 4:12  so that you may walk becomingly toward those outside, and that you may lack nothing.

1Th 4:13  But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you be not grieved, even as others who have no hope.

1Th 4:14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

1Th 4:15  For we say this to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep.

1Th 4:16  For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first.

1Th 4:17  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord.

1Th 4:18  Therefore comfort one another with these words.
